About Law Office of Megan E Good LLC
Megan launched the Law Office of Megan E Good, LLC in order to join the fight to protect and defend immigrants from unlawful detention. She assists clients with advance planning in a variety of scenarios, and she is ready to fight for their release if her clients are detained by ICE. Megan’s focus on emergency planning enables her clients to be as well-positioned as possible to protect their families and property during moments of crisis.
Before starting her own practice, Megan Good used a community-lawyering approach to help Baltimore City residents preserve and pass on their family homes during her Equal Justice Works Fellowship with the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service. She also played a pivotal role in the passage and implementation of Maryland’s Transfer on Death Deed Act, making the preservation of the family home and generational wealth more accessible to thousands of Marylanders.
Megan has dedicated her career to working to improve systems that fail to equitably protect or serve marginalized populations. Prior to earning her law degree, Megan used her analytic and project management skills to improve the delivery of human services in the government and nonprofit sectors. She also spearheaded efforts to enhance staff and provider competencies related to sexual orientation, gender identity and expression in Pennsylvania.
A transplant from Pennsylvania, Megan has called Baltimore City home since 2018. She is licensed to practice law in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and before the immigration courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. She earned her Juris Doctor at the University of Maryland, Masters in Public Policy at the College of William & Mary, and Bachelors degree at Bucknell University.
